Social Worker : Baba Shobhnath Das - kumardileep42@gmail.com

Baba Shobhnath Das Like a lamp that spreads light wherever it stays, without having its own home, this saying perfectly describes the self-sacrificing Baba Shobhnath Das Ji. From childhood, Baba Shobhnath Das dedicated his life at the feet of God Vishwakarma and continues to be deeply immersed in divine devotion for social upliftment.

At nearly 90 years of age, Baba Shobhnath Das has been a devout worshipper of God Vishwakarma from the beginning. His guru was Sri Baba Gopaldas Barfani Maharaj. Inspired by his devotion, he resolved to establish a temple of God Vishwakarma in an accessible location and, after discussing it with his friends, renounced household life. For about ten years, he appealed for support in building the temple, collecting even small donations, and toured various markets with donation boxes. Eventually, he constructed a magnificent Shri Vishwakarma Temple near Gomteshwar Mahadev in Sihauli and had the idol consecrated by his guru, Sri Baba Gopaldas Barfani Maharaj. Not stopping there, he also became a priest in the temple, dedicating his time to the service of the God. His dedication led to the establishment of a Hanuman temple, a Durga temple, and an idol of Baba Gopaldas in the God Vishwakarma Temple complex. He also laid the foundation for a Radha Krishna temple, which is still under construction. Additionally, Baba Shobhnath Das, who considers the earth his mother and trees his sons, planted and protected five hundred trees during his lifetime, believing that planting trees is not enough; one must nurture and protect them like their own children. Having traveled to all four dhams and many pilgrimage sites, Baba always helped the curious seekers who came to him to the best of his ability. He also believes that planting trees is equivalent to visiting the four dhams.

In the realm of social structure, with the aim of educating society, Gomti Public School was constructed under his guidance, where India's future generation is educated today. Calling Baba Shobhnath Das, who dedicated his life to social causes, an embodiment of sacrifice would not be an exaggeration.
