In the Vishwakarma community, whenever social harmony is discussed, the name Shri Kamlesh Pratap Vishwakarma will undoubtedly be mentioned. Shri Kamlesh Pratap Vishwakarma, the publisher of the Hindi weekly magazine 'Vishwakarma Kiran,' has dedicated his life to social work by raising awareness among social brethren across the country and abroad. Through this magazine, he is promoting social causes.
Born on January 1, 1976, in the small village of Mustafabad (Bhagasa, Pattinarendrapur) in Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh, Kamlesh Pratap Vishwakarma is well-known. His writings echo across the country, and the editorials he writes in the magazine are highly appreciated. He comes from a modest family; his father, Shri Ramnaval Vishwakarma, once owned a sawmill but now works in farming. Kamlesh Pratap Vishwakarma leads a simple and struggling life. Despite living a life of scarcity, he is determined to fulfill his resolution, which is worth mentioning.
On December 6, 1999, he launched the Hindi weekly magazine 'Vishwakarma Kiran' from Jaunpur district, determined to bring awareness among people by initiating an information revolution in society. At the time of the magazine's launch, his family's financial condition was stable, so he dedicated all resources to the publication, setting his path. However, who knows what the future holds and when favorable conditions might become unfavorable? Soon, time changed, and obstacles began to arise. Gradually, his financial situation deteriorated, and he began to struggle to continue publishing the magazine. In such circumstances, people often turn away from themselves for some time, but Kamlesh remained steadfast, accepting all kinds of situations and moving forward.
It took 19 years to publish the magazine, relying on society for the society's committed path, but the conditions are still the same as they were 19 years ago. Kamlesh Pratap Vishwakarma's standard of living is the same as it was 19 years ago; only his age has increased. The pain of a person committed to society is reflected in his words, sometimes on the editorial page and sometimes as articles on other pages for people to read.
Despite living a life of scarcity, he never felt hurt. It does not matter to him who supported him and who did not. He also bears the burden of his family. He has to bear all the expenses of his family, including his parents, wife, two sons, and two daughters, making a total of eight members. There is no other source of income. However, some people in society understand his hard work and pain, which helps in running the publication and supporting the family.
To fulfill his resolution, Kamlesh moved to Lucknow in 2007. To advance the publication, hear social pain, and find solutions, he settled in Lucknow. At that time, he was facing severe financial difficulties, and as a result, the publication was on the verge of shutting down. During that time, he got an opportunity to handle official work at a social individual's place in Lucknow. Although the salary he received there was not sufficient, life somehow continued. The publication gained some momentum again, but as soon as it gained pace, obstacles arose. The social individual where he was working found his magazine publication unacceptable. As a result, he rented a room in Lucknow and tried to complete his publication efforts.
Some people say that despite various scarcities, Kamlesh Pratap Vishwakarma is always ready to fight for the rights of the oppressed and exploited individuals. Sometimes, even when he had no money, if a distressed person called him, he would reach there by bicycle or on foot. In such scarcity and struggle, you will find only rare individuals who continuously work on their resolution. Bringing a 'thought revolution' within society through the publication is his primary objective, and he is ready to struggle for it. He believes that the day society achieves a 'thought revolution,' unity and social development will also be visible.
